The terms and conditions set out in the following sections form a contract between you our customer and Rent a Reindeer Ltd.
The person booking the event must be over 18.
Enquiry
When making an enquiry or booking your event it will be priced according to various factors such as date, number of animals, handlers and distance from our base making most events unique. Any such request for a date is only that until and invoice is raised and a deposit is paid and cleared, at that point a request turns into a booking.
Invoicing / Deposits
We will invoice you with a total bill and expect a minimum of £200 from the total bill to be paid immediately as a non refundable deposit to secure the booking date with the balance payable 14 days prior to the event, unless otherwise stated on the invoice in writing.
We expect that by your placing of a booking with us that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to them by placing a deposit with us.
If you have any queries these need to be raised prior to booking and deposit been paid.
Any invoices outstanding over our agreeded terms will attract interest at 4% over the HSBC Bank base lending rate. Rent a Reindeer Ltd also reserve the right to apply for the provisions of the Late Payment of Commercial Interest Act 1998. In addition any costs arising in the pursuance of recovery of overdue invoices, howsoever incurred, will also become your liability.
Payments
Payments can be made by cheque (made payable to Rent a Reindeer Ltd) or bacs, details are on the invoice and only on payment clearing form a booking with us.
Arrival / Animals
We will do all in our power to be at your event at least half an hour before the booking time, however we will not be held liable in any way should we be late for whatever reason. ( we will still do our scheduled time on site) We do make sure our vehicles are up to date and well maintained and covered by breakdown assistance. If for any reason caused by us at Rent a Reindeer Ltd that we do not arrive we will either do a full refund or arrange another date. (never happened yet even during the bad winters 2009/2010) We also reserve the right to change animals, numbers at the last minute if it becomes necessary.
On Site
We expect all of our clients to have read our documents that are emailed prior to the event, especially the method statement. If in our reasonable opinion or the opinion of any other person in authority any member of your party or member of the public that you have responsibility for acts in a way that either puts our animals or handlers in danger or distress we are entitled without notice to terminate the booking with immediate effect without a refund and without liability in any way.
All sites are required to provide fencing at the venues own costs. It is the venues responsibility to make sure the fencing is on site and safe and matches our requirements.
If this is required then this will be detailed in the quote and invoice.
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel a booking this can initialy be done by phone but must be confirmed by writing or email. Deposits (£200) are non refundable.
If you cancel your booking within 14 days of the event for any and all reasons full payment (100%) is required. (we always recommend taking out event insurance to cover your booking)
If we cancel your booking (other than for above behaviour) we will issue a full refund but will accept no liability or costs in any other form.
Please note that unless agreed seperatly in writing that if full payment has not been received prior to the event date we will not attend and no refunds will be given.
